December

This post is a bit LARGE :)
...it is FULL of pictures
and all of our fun event's from the month of December!
Enjoy...

December 2011 was good to us.
Our month was FULL of Christmas spirit and a lot of love from family and friends.
This time of year is such a special time to remember the true meaning of Christmas.
We tried to focus on that this year.

The best part of Christmas is giving...so for family night one monday we made these cute little reindeer cookies to deliver to friends and family!
They were delicious...I know this because I ate a few of them myself!
I hope everyone else enjoyed them.

We were brave and got all bundled up to face the cold and get a few more walks in before the snow hit. We love our walks, especially outside ones. We will now be going to the indoor track at the high school :( ...we are looking forward to spring weather already.

Alexis is getting so big!
She turned 6 months old on Christmas day.
She is such a happy little girl.
We are definitely starting to see a spunky little personality come out of her.
We are loving every minute with this little sweetheart and can't wait to see what the future brings!

 Isn't she the cutest?

 Alexis at 6 months old!

*Pulls herself up really high on her arms
*Loves to nap in her swing
*Loves mommy and daddy
*Laughs all of the time
*Rolls like a little champ from tummy to back
*Loves her binky and uses it as a chew toy
*Tries to eat everyone who holds her. She will grab their cheeks with her little hands and go for your face. Maybe she is trying to give kisses? (It is pretty much the cutest thing I have ever seen)
*Talks all of the time in her own little mumble language
*Fake laughs :)
*Sits up all by herself
*Has found her toes and loves to play with them
*Started eating sweet potatoes
*LOVES soft blankets (she has to have them wrapped around her head to fall asleep)

ALEXIS AT 6 MONTHS :)

On December 10th we had our first Christmas party of the month.

The Forsyth Family Christmas Party!
We had a wonderful dinner at Mimi's cafe to start off the night.
After dinner we met at Rob and Jen's house for a little family time and a special visit from Santa.

My cousin Brielle LOVES Alexis. I am pretty sure Lexi loves her back. She gets tons of attention from her and lots of loves. Brielle was making her smile and giggle.
 Jax, Nanny and Lexi

Me and my little munchkin!
It wouldn't be right if I didn't have a big slobber mark on my shirt...
haha I am pretty sure I always have something on me :) I guess it's all a part of being a mom right?
 Daddy and Lexi

Santa came to our Christmas party. I was a little curious to see how Alexis would do...
to my surprise she seemed to enjoy herself. Her eyes got really big and she started twirling her little fingers in his beard. He even gave her a present!

She loved sucking on the wrapping paper...

Alexis sure loves her cousin Jaxson.
He can get her to laugh and smile so much. They are already good little friends!
Alexis was too interested in eating her present to look at the camera...

 Bartholomew Family with Santa :)

My family :)....I think Jax was in the middle of a blink. ha

After the Forsyth Christmas party Nate and I decided to go to temple square.
I love seeing all of the tree's lit up around the temple. I always love going there. It is such a special place for us. I told Lexi all about how mommy and daddy got married there.
The most beautiful place on earth :)
We felt the spirit as we walked around the temple grounds.
It was nice to spend some time with my little family.

Lexi liked all of the lights too. We let her look out of her car seat at the tree's...she then fell fast asleep and we circled the temple talking about our wedding day and how special it is
to be sealed as an eternal family.
What a wonderful blessing!
Beautiful :)
Temple Square 2011

When we made it back to the car we found this little one fast asleep :)

The Curtis Family Christmas party was next on the list...

We had a yummy lunch and decorated sugar cookies.
Alexis got to go fishing for prizes in the fish pond and we visited with family.
The Curtis side of the family is so big we have the party in a church so we can fit everyone.
Big families are so much fun.
We enjoyed ourselves!

Peterson Family Christmas Party :)

We ate more delicious food...(I am pretty sure we gained 10 pounds this month) that what happens around the holidays right??

We opened cousin gifts and Alexis got a darling little bumble bee toy that she loves!
We then hung out and visited with everyone.
It was good to see my grandpa Dallis, we don't get to see him very often.

Alexis did like him...even though this picture would prove otherwise :)
haha she was perfectly happy with him until I wanted to take the picture!

We love you grandpa!

All of the Christmas parties were so much fun.
We LOVE this time of year to remember the birth of our Savior.
We also love spending so much time with family.
We feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives.

Christmas was wonderful and we are sad that it is over :(

Christmas Eve!

Every Christmas Eve we read a new Christmas book as a family :) it is one of my favorite traditions! I look forward to the message the story shares. This year it was about giving to others that makes you most happy. Good lesson!

Opening up Christmas PJ'S!!

Lexi all dressed in her pajama's :)

CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!

It was so fun to play Santa this year :)
Even though Lexi is still too little to understand fully she was still excited to see all of her gifts from Santa. Kids make this holiday SO much fun!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

These two love each other. Jaxson can make her smile when nobody else can. He loves to help me take care of her and loves to kiss and hug her. They are good little friends!

We got Lexi a basketball hoop...I didn't think she would know what she was doing with it quite yet but she found those balls and started playing right away! Cute :)

This Christmas was special because it was on a SUNDAY.
It was nice to go to church and hear a spiritual message about the Savior.

Another WONDERFUL highlight of the day was getting to talk to
ELDER FORSYTH :)

We got to skype too :) I really loved it! He was able to see Alexis for the first time.
I sure miss him! He is so amazing!

I love this picture... Look at Lexi's face? SHE LOVES JAXSON!!!!

We loved spending time with family :) we were spoiled like usual and feel so blessed.
Sad the break is over...
