Motherhood!

Being a mom is the hardest job on the planet. I'm sure of it. It's a 24 hour a day job that includes cooking, cleaning, changing, bathing, rocking, holding, feeding, playing, teaching, stressing, worrying, LOVING and every emotion that the human body can experience. It is overwhelming at times. I seem to feel extra guilty at the end of each day because I lost my patience yet again or I fed Lexi candy all day just to keep her happy... Being a mom is MUCH MORE than keeping them alive :)

I feel a huge amount of pressure to make sure they are happy, healthy, well behaved, smart, religious, good sleepers, talking well enough, learning new things, being kind to others and are well rounded little people. Some days I am so beyond exhausted because of these two little runts that it takes all my energy to just climb into bed at the end of the day. How did my mom do it? She always made it look easy. She always made me feel loved, well taken care of and happy. I always knew she was there for me and knew that when I needed her most she would do anything for me.

I hope that I can be half as wonderful as my mom was to me!

Being a mother is the BEST most rewarding job on the planet. I'm sure of it. It makes my heart explode with gratitude. It's amazing to me that I can create these little miracles. That they are mine and will be my family forever. I never thought it was possible to have such a love for such little people. They have changed me and I wouldn't be who I am today without them.

I am trying to take each day as it comes. Learning to live in the moment. Try not to stress the small stuff and make time to just spend with my kids and learn more about them. They are smart little buggers and continue to teach me the true importance of this life.

I want a LOT of kids. I always have. When I think of my future I see myself surrounded by lots of little children. We will see what the lord has in mind for us. As for now I am enjoying the 2 that I have now and trying to keep my hair at the same time!

Here are a few pics of my miracles that make me a mother. Thank you babies. I love you.

Lexi is so proud of her cheese face. She made me show her the display screen on the back of the camera. She told me it was the "best cheese" Love her!

Nixon at 7 months.

This boy has wrapped me around his little finger. TIGHT! I will do anything for his smiles. I love him!

This stage is THE best!

Summer is coming to an end!

We have been enjoying these long summer days and are sad they are coming to a close. Don't get me wrong it is still 110 degree's outside but Nate is getting more busy and has started up full time back at school. We already miss him and are trying to entertain ourselves while he is gone. A new favorite activity is to huddle in Lexi's princess tent and watch movies on the computer. Both kids will sit happily watching a show and playing together. I am really loving that they can entertain each other now. Nixon loves to watch Lexi and she is good to give him attention. I hope they continue to love each other :)

This adorable little man turned 6 months on August 9th.

-He weighed in at 17 pounds (he now at almost 7 months weighs 18 pounds)
-Smiles ALL OF THE TIME
-Loves going to the park to swing on the swings
-Loves his mama (attached FOR SURE)
-Loves baby food and can eat a whole jar in about 2 minutes flat!
-Has the best eyes that sparkle when he smiles
-Is so friendly and loves everyone
-Strongest baby on the planet! Crawls, scoots, sits up, does push ups, rolls and can pretty much beat up his sister
-Loves soft blankets
-Falls asleep best with his daddy

He has melted all of our hearts and we are SO grateful he is apart of our family. We love him more than words!!

These two are quite the pair! They get into loads of trouble and Nixon is right there helping Lexi achieve anything she puts her mind too.

Lexi showing Nixon how to work the IPAD.

My handsome little man. His little dimple just kills me.

Relaxing FHE at the park. Nixon LOVES the swings and gut laughs the whole time. His favorite thing is when Nate pretends like he is going to eat his toes. It gets him every time! SO CUTE!

My princess :)

The sass and personality this little girl has is pretty interesting. She keeps us laughing and has something new to say at all times. She was explaining to me that she was Rapunzel and the mean lady was coming to get her hair...

2 going on 18.... Watch out world!

Labor Day 2013

We have made some great friends here in AZ and planned a little trip to Sedona. It was such a beautiful place. It had pretty red rock with trees and fun shops. It reminded me of St. George and Park City combined. We planned a little hike then lunch and games at the park. It was the best day and we had so much fun!!

We started the day with a fun hike around Bell Rock.
Ready to start our hike!

This is little Hudson. Is he not the cutest? Nixon and Hudson are only 2 weeks apart. They are going to be the best little buds!

SO EXCITED!!

Pointing out our trail. We were going to hike around Bell Rock.

The families that came on our Labor Day adventure!

Brewster Family

Voisin Family

Williams Family

Bartholomew Family

Housley Family

And we were off! Our stroller did awesome on the hike and both Nate and I got a great work out pushing the kids.

We made it! Bell Rock. I got Lexi out of the stroller and we explored all around. People climbed all the way to the top of that rock. It was beautiful! It was a nice 85 degrees with a cool breeze. Loved being outside!

We have been enjoying these last few summer days. Now back to real life with a busy Nate. We are so proud of his hard work and dedication. He is doing great in school and is being a smart scientist! We look forward to fall and winter here in AZ and can't wait for cooler weather so we can plan more adventures :)
