5 months old!

Alexis turned 5 months old on the 25th :)

She is just growing right up!

We are loving her at this age. She is SO much fun and such a happy little thing.

I think I mentioned before that she had a sensitivity to breast milk and was switched to an amino acid based formula. She has been doing fantastic and everything has been working out for her so...

we got the go ahead to give her a little bit of cereal :) It is not rice cereal but the same brand as the amino acid based formula she is on. She had no idea what was happening. I think she thought of it more as a game. Nate played airplane with the food and she thought he was hilarious. Once it got to her mouth she would suck on it and then spit it right out...it might take a few times before she understands what to do with it! I think the texture is a little much for her. She didn't mind getting dirty though :) silly little girly!

A few things Lexi does at 5 months old!

*Rolls from tummy to back

*Can take out and put in her binky

*Can hold her own bottle

*Grabs toys and anything you put in front of her

*Screams (happy screams)

*Laughs 

*Loves her pink elephant 

*Can reach her toes and is almost sitting up

*Wears size 2 diapers

*Still loves to be swaddled at night

*Sits up in the stroller and likes to look out

*Loves her soft zebra blanket (especially up by her face)

*Smiles ALL THE TIME :)

trying cereal for the first time

 I loved this little face...not very interested in the food.

We let her try and feed herself. That's when things got a little messy.
"What am I suppose to do with this thing?" 

Overall...she had a lot of fun, but ate about a spoon full.

 Maybe sweet potatoes will be more successful :)

I can't believe the past 5 months have gone so fast.
She gets more fun each day and is learning more and more. 

This little one loves to play and move all around :)

Getting ready for Christmas :)

Did you know my baby will be 6 months old on Christmas?

I can't believe that!

I also can't believe how fast this past year has gone. 

Overall it has been pretty good to us :) one of the most memorable for sure. 

Hopefully we can end it with a beautiful holiday season full of family and remembering the true meaning of Christmas. 

Speaking of Christmas...I got out all of my Christmas decor about a week before Thanksgiving...(I know I am one of those people) 

but it is so fun to have it up and look at my pretty lights glowing from my Christmas tree :)

We are looking forward to all of the family Christmas parties, lights at temple square and having a sweet little baby this year for Christmas...

To get in the holiday spirit I snapped a few little pictures of my sweetness :)

Thank you nanny for the santa diapers :) they are hilarious and adorable! 

I also took a few of Alexis in her very first Christmas dress :) she looked so precious!

Perfect Moments :)

Last night as I was relaxing with my little family I had one of those moments. A moment where you are so happy you almost feel like your heart will burst? ...Things are not perfect all the time that's for sure, and we have our challenges, but last night while being together and laughing with our little one...

it truly was perfect! 

We forgot about the stress of life and all of the pressure from the outside and realized how blessed we really are. We love our life :) even if it has hard moments. Hard challenges build character right? :) 

We were all tired and in need of some family together time...so what better way than laying on the family room floor and talking with Alexis. We love her so much. She brings so much love into our home.

Happy Thanksgiving :)

Today is Thanksgiving and we are SO grateful! :)

We have a good life that is full of blessings...I am glad we have special days like this to help remind us of the important things in life. 

We are thankful for our wonderful families and loving friends. 

We couldn't make it through without you all! 

We are also grateful for the gospel and the knowledge we have of a loving savior.

We spent the day with the Bartholomew side and had a great time :) It was full of fun, food, games and best of all family. We are so blessed :)

Alexis enjoyed her very first Thanksgiving and was so good all day long...

The celebration was held at David and Lynette's home (Nate's aunt and uncle) they always make it look so wonderful and work so hard at making everyone feel at home. Dinner was great!

We are so grateful for this little one...she really is the best little blessing! She makes us so happy and helps bring our little family closer in so many ways. I think her bib is very fitting, we are all so thankful for her! We love you Alexis!

 Everyone worked so hard on all the little details. We each had a little treat bag by our seats...cute!

We are so thankful for Nanny :) she spoils Lexi and is always loving on her. She lets her suck on her fingers, necklace and anything else Lexi gets a hold of! She is always wanting to hold her and loves spending time with her. Lexi sure loves her nanny. 

We spent most of the afternoon playing game after game...it's a tradition at the B home!

So very grateful for these two :) I love my family!

They have a turtle that comes up to the glass and tries to bite you :) 

Alexis thought it was pretty darn funny!

We had a great day full of good memories.
