Over Labor Day weekend we flew out to Kansas City to visit Nate's family.
It was the first time in over two years that all 5 of Nate's brothers have been together.
Nate's younger brother Jordan returned from a mission about 2 weeks ago.
It was so fun to see him and let him meet Lexi for the first time.
He hasn't changed one bit and still has that funny sense of humor we all love ;)
Lexi warmed right up to him and they became good little friends.
The first day or two was relaxing. We visited and watched the kiddos play.
Lexi was happy to see cousins. Olivia helped her build a train track and
Kaitlynn was the best little mommy to Lex. Following her around and picking her up!
It was rainy when we arrived which made the temperature in the 70's...
it was FABULOUS to get away from the 110 degree weather of Arizona, even for a day or two.
We had a little photo shoot with the nanny and the girls.
They are all in LOVE with her...and I think she feels the same way about them.
She loves them so much and is really the BEST grandma out there!
She made up for her girls in the grand daughter department! :)
Cousins
Alexis got a new baby cousin about a month ago.
Her name is Hannah. She is so tiny and precious.
Alexis was in love with her.
Whenever she saw her she would giggle and lay her little head on hers.
She will be the best big sister for sure!
They happened to have matching little outfits,
so we snapped a few pics of them snuggling together.
Sweetest moment ever.
Sunday was a special day for the Bartholomew Family.
It was Papa Bartholomew's birthday which made the day even more special :)
We were able to attend little Hannah's baby blessing as well.
After church we went and saw the Kansas City Temple.
The temple grounds were closed but it was still a beautiful site.
Something about being around the temple, makes everything perfect...
even if you can't go inside. It's pretty amazing!

Nanny always knows how to get the grandkids happy and having a good time.
A quick skipping session down the sidewalk did the trick!
Family Pic outside the Kansas City Temple!
There is no stopping this little girl.
She is always on the go.
She walked around the temple grounds checking everything out :)
She likes to be free and and moving, constantly!
(Isn't she pretty? I think so!)
All 5 brothers TOGETHER....
It just wouldn't be right without a few "goofy" pics of them.
Bartholomew Boys
All 5 Bartholomew grandkids with nanny and papa :)
After visiting the temple we made a little trip to Liberty Jail.
It really was amazing.
The presentation of the Jail really made you think of the conditions Joseph Smith and the men where put in. It made me even more grateful for Joseph Smith and all that he endured going through this trial and continually having faith in the Lord.
Liberty Jail
It was a perfect sunday!
It wouldn't have been a Bartholomew get together without a few games.
The boys also went disk golfing.
I tried to get some "action" swings of them....enjoy!
It was a short and quick little trip but we were glad to see family.
It is always fun to have a little break and enjoy some time together.
We are already looking forward to more family time come Thanksgiving.
THANK YOU
Nanny and Papa B for letting us come on this little adventure.
We can't wait to see you gain!

Thanks for all the great pictures Kayla. All the family together making memories--the best! Love you and miss you already!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun trip and how fun for Nate to be able to spend time with his whole family! I can't get over how cute Lexie looks in all these pictures. She is absolutely adorable.
