2012 coming to an end!

The past few weeks have been fabulous and FULL.
December is always such a busy month for us... now that I look back it almost feels like a blur. Hopefully I can remember and write down a few of our memories so I can look back and remember our December of 2012... here goes!
First on the list... my SPUNKY little Lexi turned 18 months old!

Alexis turned 18 months old on Christmas Day.
I can't believe how big she has gotten and how smart she is!
Over the Christmas break her little brain has grown so much. She has added more words to her vocabulary and is learning and watching everything we do! (We have to be very careful these days)

She loves music and dances all of the time.
Her dance moves come naturally and actually match the music. It is pretty amazing ;)
If the music has a slow beat her movements slow down... if the beat picks up so does she!
I think she will be a great little dancer.

She can find and say nose, ear, eyes, teeth, toes and just recently knee and elbow!

She loves babies (thank goodness) and spent many days loving on my sister's 7 month old twins!

She has such a fun and silly personality.
Playing silly games is her favorite.
She is BUSY and all over the place always. It can be exhausting chasing her around but I love watching her explore and learn new things!

She has mastered going up and down stairs :)

I have started taking away the beloved binky... she only gets "bink" for naps and bedtime now.
I thought she would be more upset about it but the transition is going great!

She has become well aware when she goes potty.
Thanks to her daddy she can tell you when she pooped and will say "poo" over and over again until you change her! She has been changing her dolls diapers too and says "eeeww" as she wipes them clean...oh. my.

Maybe we are closer to potty training than I thought?

We have been working on reading books with her and making her look at a page for longer than one second... something she struggled with before. She is learning to love books and will look at them for 30 min at a time! BIG IMPROVEMENT!!!

She kisses and hugs us constantly. I am pretty sure she is more in love with her daddy than anyone else on the planet. They have something special for sure. It's pretty darn adorable.

She is still a petite little bug and still has yet to hit the charts!
Weighing in at 19 pounds :)

SHE LOVES FOOD and will eat anything pretty much.
She has grown new teeth and is getting a pretty goofy, adorable, silly little smile.

We love her more than words can say and love watching her grow!

My little MAN

I will be a mom of 2 next month... isn't that crazy?
My pregnancy has been going great.
I am just now getting to the uncomfortable stage. I am finding it hard to find a sleep position that doesn't kill my hips and back... but I honestly can't complain!

I am so grateful to have a body that grows these beautiful babies. It is truly amazing!
The little man (don't know his name yet) is growing healthy and strong.
He loves to move and wiggle. I think he is starting to run out of room though because it feels more like pushing than actual movements now.
I am 34 weeks!
My doctor said he would induce me on Feb 25th if he hasn't shown up before then!
I asked to be induced on that day because it is over Nate's spring break and I would love for him to be home with me for a couple of days.
My intuition is telling me he might come the week of Valentines Day...a little early like his sister???
We will see :) :) :)
We are getting anxious and excited to meet him. It is going to be such an exciting time!

 CHRISTMAS!

Our Christmas was fabulous. We spent time with both the Bartholomew side and the Forsyth side.
We did SO much in such little time it is hard to think of all of the little things we did.

We woke up early the morning of the 22nd and made the drive to Utah.
Luckily the roads were clear and we made good time!
We stopped in Monroe for the Peterson family Christmas party and spent the night at my grandparents house. It was so fun seeing extended family and letting Lex play with everyone.

We then made our way to Nate's parents house!
We were so lucky to have everyone together for Christmas this year. All of Nate's siblings were together. The house was full of family and it was so much fun.
I love when we can all be together over the holidays.
We spent time playing games as a family, eating fabulous food, bowling and seeing extended family!
We went to a big Christmas Eve breakfast and played a fun game of white elephant!

The Iphone has become a favorite.
Lexi was caught stealing every phone she could get her hands on!
Isn't nanny B pretty? I just had to point that out! :)

Another favorite. Nanny's glasses. She loves trying them on and always knows where to find them when she is playing with her nanny.

After a day or two at the Bartholomew's we headed up to Brigham.
We arrived just in time for a wonderful dinner on Christmas Eve.
My mom made it so special for us. We ate, opened PJ's and read a new book on the meaning of Christmas. All of my siblings were together for Christmas as well. It was so fun to have SO many people to spend the holidays with.

Lexi opening her Christmas Eve PJ's!

My nephew got the game headbands and we all took turns playing it with him.
It was pretty hilarious and his reaction was the best!

Christmas Morning :)

Growing up my parents made us sit at the top of the stairs before we could go down to the family room to see if Santa had come... I have a picture of us at the top of the stairs every year.
We still participate in this tradition :)

Waiting to see if Santa found us...

The rest of the morning I did more filming than pictures but here are a few of Lexi's reaction!
She went straight to her puppy :) and loved it!
She kept hugging and kissing it.

Bracelets and princess keys found in her stocking!

She loved her new baby and stroller. She pushed her around the whole house. It was a hit!

I wish I had taken more pictures... but my pregnancy brain is so darn forgetful!
It was a perfect morning and Lexi loved everything Santa brought for her.
It was so darling and she kept saying "Thank You"

Nate gave me a darling willow tree statue and I surprised him with a remote control car... ha!
Shows are personalities perfectly!

My parents were wonderful and spoiled us rotten.
They are way too nice! :)

Lexi had her first real experience with snow.
She is spoiled with the warm Arizona weather and DID NOT like getting cold.
At one point I stuck her hand in the snow to let her touch it... oh was that a bad idea.
She then sat and cried....

so it lasted all of 2 min and we were inside by the fireplace!

We spent days in our PJ's.
 It was wonderful.
We kept all of our Christmas out and Lexi loved playing with all of her new toys for days. My mom got her a darling little people princess castle. She loves it! It has become one of her favorite toys!

Day 2 of PJ's and playing :)

After a few days spent at my parents we made our way back to the Bartholomew home!
(we were up and down the free way multiple times this trip)

The Bartholomew's always know how to have a good time.
We went bowling for a second time, out to dinner and spent time together as a family.
We played games and opened our sibling gifts.

Nate's parents gave everyone a family trip to Disneyland this coming may!! :) :) :)
We are already excited and counting down the days until we go!

I have been trying to teach Lexi the princesses... so we can be prepared when May comes! ;)
I know I am leaving out many activities... but the most important thing was spending time with family. It was a blast! It was so relaxing and fun to have time with Nate :)
It was the perfect Christmas!

We stayed until new years welcoming in 2013 with a party in Herriman and my aunts house!
We are pretty much partied out for the next little bit...
but looking forward to the next big event/change in our lives.

Baby Brother will be here before you know it!
I am already getting anxious and starting my crazy list making and cleaning...
haha
We are starting to get ready for him! Hooray! We will keep you posted.
Happy New Year everyone!!!
Here is to a fabulous 2013 full of new goals and new memories :)
